20. Decoy Scorpionfish (Iracundus signifier) (frontal view)



Subject: The Decoy Scorpionfish (Iracundus signifier) is quite small compared to most Scorpionfish. His excellent camouflage, while designed to ambush prey, also aids to hide from bigger predators.


Technique: To make the Scorpionfish stand out in this image, the surroundings were slightly blurred by a Gaussian blur effect in post-production.
