Subject: A White-banded Cleaner Shrimp (Lysmata amboinensis) awaits her next client. These crustaceans make a living by picking off small parasites and dead skin tissue from fishes. Although often associated with moray eels, they have a whole array of different clients species.
Technique: Most of the time it is best to film an underwater subject using a subtle frog’s perspective. In this case that was not much of a challenge as the shrimp was walking on the ceiling of a small overhang, which made it impossible to film it from another angle.
