Who we are
All courses are taught by Olivier Van den Broeck, IATA Voyager Rebreather Rec Instructor and PADI Master Instructor. A certified diver since 1996 and scuba diving instructor since 1999, Olivier has worked in the dive industry in a wide variety of locations including the Mediterranean (Spain), the Caribbean (Saint Lucia, Bonaire, Dominica, Saba), the Middle East (Egypt) and Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Maldives, Thailand, Vietnam).
Olivier has experience in all aspects of the dive industry including resort diving such as Club Med, liveaboards such as the Kararu in Indonesia and has managed dive centres in remote locations such as Whale Island in Vietnam.
Olivier has certified almost 400 divers at every level and has coached more than 130 IDC candidates. His level of experience ensures that you will receive the best possible instruction available and a top quality learning experience!
In 2005 Olivier became an IATA Voyager Rebreather Instructor at SCR and CCR levels.
What we do
We are specialists in Voyager rebreather training and offer a full support progam for rebreather divers with services such as rebreather tank and booster pump rental, scrubber and gasses, luxury accommodation, diving at Bali's best dive sites and liveaboard voyages across Indonesia. Our primary goal is to educate the dive community about the benefits of diving with rebreathers - we can show you why rebreather diving is attracting more divers each day. Founded in 2007, BEYOND SCUBA was established in response to the growing number of divers looking for year-round Voyager rebreather training. We possess a unique mix of professional qualifications together with a wealth of experience working in the dive industry around the world, as well as indepth local expertise. BEYOND SCUBA provides a modern approach to rebreather training. All of our courses are limited to a maximum of two students, ensuring safety, quality and consistency in training. We are committed to ensuring that every student qualifies as a competent rebreather diver having fully mastered all skills and knowledge to dive safely and enjoyably.
How we do it
We are located on the beautiful island of Bali in Indonesia, world-renowned for the fantastic richness of its marine life.
Our training facility is situated in the village of Kerobokan, on Bali’s southwest coast. A tranquil place just 10 minutes from the restaurants and night life of trendy Seminyak. You will be accommodated in a luxury double bungalow at our training facility with a swimming pool just outside your door. Confined water training is conducted at the training facility and all training dives take place at Bali's east and north coast dive sites, where the visibility is excellent and marine life outstanding. During the training we will accommodate you at the Scuba Seraya Resort in Tulamben. The drive to and from the dive sites (between 1.5 and 2.5 hours) takes you through Balinese villages, beautiful rainforest and breathtaking rice fields - an excellent way to discover authentic Balinese culture! |
